Lifeways Awarded Supported Living Care Services Contract in East Sussex

East Sussex County Council has awarded a contract to Lifeways Community Care Limited to provide supported living care services for working-age adults with a learning disability at Warwick House and Steyne Road in Seaford.

The new contract was procured using a Competitive Flexible Procedure and will support the delivery of care services at the two supported living schemes. The award notice states that the new service is due to commence in December 2026.

The contract is valued at £5.03 million excluding VAT (£6.03 million including VAT) and is expected to run from 1 September 2026 until 30 November 2031, with the option to extend for up to 24 months, potentially taking the agreement through to 30 November 2033.

The procurement attracted three tenders, all of which progressed to the final assessment stage. One bid was submitted by a voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE).

The unsuccessful bidders were:

• Southdown Housing Association Ltd

The contract will provide supported living care services for working-age adults with a learning disability at Warwick House and Steyne Road, supporting residents to live independently within their community.
