Swindon Borough Council has awarded John Edwards Care Homes Ltd a £7 million contract to provide overnight short break respite and residential accommodation and support for disabled and SEND children.
The service will provide overnight short breaks for families alongside residential care for children and young people with complex needs and disabilities within Swindon.
The initial contract is expected to run from 25 September 2026 to 24 September 2027, with two optional 24-month extensions potentially taking it through to 24 September 2031.
One tender was received and assessed, with John Edwards Care Homes awarded the contract.
