Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has established a new framework agreement for the provision of licensed pharmaceutical wholesale services, supporting the supply and delivery of medicines to NHS trusts across the North East and North Cumbria, Yorkshire and the Humber, and North West regions.
The NEYPPC Licensed Medicines Provision of Pharmaceutical Wholesale Services 26 framework was procured using an open procedure to establish a closed framework.
The framework has an estimated value of £2.4 billion excluding VAT (£2.448 billion including VAT) and is expected to run from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029, with the option to extend for a further 12 months until 30 September 2030.
Four suppliers have been appointed to the framework:
The procurement attracted four tenders, with all four progressing to the final assessment stage and successfully securing places on the framework. No SMEs or voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) submitted tenders.
The framework will support the delivery of licensed medicines to NHS trusts across the three regions, providing participating organisations with access to pharmaceutical wholesale services throughout the life of the agreement.
