Worcestershire County Council has awarded a £2.82 million contract (excluding VAT) to CIVICARE CENTRAL LIMITED to deliver care and support services at Gilbert Court, one of the council’s extra care schemes.
The contract covers two key areas of support: onsite personal care for residents whose needs have been assessed by Adult Social Care, and core support services available to all residents. These include low-level support to help people maintain their tenancy and access opportunities within the scheme and the wider community, with the aim of promoting independence and quality of life.
The contract was awarded following an open procedure under the Light Touch regime. A total of 14 tenders were received, with eight progressing to the final assessment stage. The award decision was made on 10 July 2026, with the contract expected to be signed on 1 August 2026.
The agreement is due to run from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2031, providing five years of health and social care services at the Worcestershire extra care scheme.
