University College London Hospitals NHS FT Awards Patient Accommodation Contracts for Proton Beam Therapy and Radiotherapy

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) has awarded two contracts for the provision of patient accommodation for individuals undergoing proton beam therapy and radiotherapy at UCLH and Proton International.

The contracts have been awarded to HWC APARTMENTS LIMITED and StayCity UK LTD.

Each contract has a value of £4,774,255.96 excluding VAT (£5,729,107.15 including VAT) and is scheduled to run from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029. Both agreements include the option to extend for two additional 12-month periods, potentially taking the contracts through to 30 September 2031.

Competitive Procurement

The contracts were awarded following an open procedure.

A total of two tenders were received and assessed at the final stage, with both suppliers awarded contracts.

The award decision was made on 22 July 2026, with assessment summaries issued to tenderers on the same day. The standstill period is due to end on 4 August 2026, with the earliest contract signature date set for 1 September 2026.
