Suffolk County Council has awarded a contract worth £582,000 (including VAT) to Leaders in Care Recruitment Limited for the recruitment of up to 13 full-time equivalent (FTE) locum social workers.
The interim arrangement will provide additional staffing within the council’s Integrated Front Door (IFD) / Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) while permanent recruitment takes place.
The contract was awarded through a direct award procedure, with the award decision made on 22 July 2026. Following the standstill period, the contract is expected to be signed on 1 August 2026.
The initial contract is expected to run from 1 August 2026 to 30 October 2026, with the option to extend for up to three months, potentially taking the contract through to 30 January 2027.
