Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Limited has awarded a contract for the provision of funeral services for adults, infants and babies to Pearson Funeral Services.
The contract has a value of £150,000 excluding VAT (£180,000 including VAT) and is expected to run from 3 November 2026 to 2 November 2029, with the option to extend for a further two periods of 12 months, potentially taking the contract through to 2 November 2031.
The procurement was conducted using an open procedure. One tender was received and assessed, with the sole submission coming from a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME).
The contract covers the provision of funeral services across the Calderdale and Kirklees area. Pearson Funeral Services, based in Meltham, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, was confirmed as the successful supplier.
The award decision was made on 30 June 2026. Assessment summaries were issued to tenderers on the same day, with the standstill period ending on 23 July 2026. The earliest date the contract may be signed is 27 July 2026.
