Leicester City Council has awarded a contract for the delivery of its Saturday Day Service, providing support for people who are rough sleeping, experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness.
The contract has been awarded to The Bridge Homelessness to Hope following a below-threshold open competition conducted under the Light Touch Regime.
Valued at £90,000, the service will provide access to substance use treatment support alongside a range of practical services designed to meet immediate needs and encourage engagement with wider support networks.
The Saturday Morning Service offers access to facilities and activities including breakfast provision, showers, laundry facilities and structured activities, creating opportunities for individuals to access support in a safe and welcoming environment.
The contract will commence on 1 July 2026 and run until 30 June 2027. Subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by the council, the contract may be extended for up to a further two years, potentially continuing until 30 June 2029.
