Provision of Infant Feeding

Blackpool Borough Council is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver its Provision of Infant Feeding service as part of the Best Start Partnership.

The successful provider will support the ongoing development of infant feeding services, helping to improve support for feeding choices, promote key infant feeding messages, and connect families with the wider Healthy Babies and Family Hub programme. The service is intended to contribute to improved outcomes for babies, children and their families across Blackpool.

The Council is seeking a supplier that can clearly demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements set out within the Infant Feeding Specification and deliver the most advantageous tender.

Service Overview

The appointed provider will deliver infant feeding support as part of the Best Start Partnership, with a focus on:

• Supporting families with infant feeding choices.
• Promoting key infant feeding messages.
• Improving access to the Healthy Babies and Family Hub programme.
• Contributing to improved outcomes for babies, children and families.

Contract Value – £510,000 excluding VAT (£612,000 including VAT)

Delivery Length – 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2028, with the option to extend for one further year until 31 October 2029, subject to contract review and budget availability.
