Leeds City Council has awarded Comfort Call Ltd a contract to provide a 24/7 Core Wellbeing Service with potential for planned care and support at the Laurels Extra Care Schemes in Armsley, Leeds.
The service will provide person-centred, outcome-focused support, with service users and their carers involved in decision making.
The estimated cost of planned care and support is £559,110 a year at 2026/27 rates, equating to approximately £2.8 million over the contract lifetime. The notice states that this figure may fluctuate depending on demand and future Adult Social Care contract fee uplifts.
Comfort Call was selected following an open procedure under the light touch regime. Seven tenders were received, with four assessed at the final stage.
The contract is expected to run from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2030, with the option to extend for up to 24 months, potentially taking the agreement to 31 January 2032.
