The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales has awarded a contract to Lion Laboratories Limited for the supply, installation, maintenance and support of Intoxilyzer® 9000UK evidential breath alcohol testing equipment.
The contract has a value of £342,896 excluding VAT (£411,475.20 including VAT) and has been awarded through the BLC0169 National Framework for the Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Alcohol Breath Testing Equipment, under Lot 1 – Evidential Breath Testing Instruments, using a single-supplier framework award.
The agreement is expected to commence on 10 August 2026 and run until 27 July 2036, providing almost 10 years of support for evidential breath testing equipment across the South Wales Police area.
The procurement covers the supply, installation, maintenance and support of Lion Laboratories Intoxilyzer® 9000UKevidential breath testing instruments and falls under CPV codes 35200000 – Police equipment and 38540000 – Machines and apparatus for testing and measuring.
The contract was awarded by the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales.
