London Borough of Lewisham has awarded a contract for an independent review of its Independent Living Service to assess whether the current service model remains fit for purpose in response to demographic change, financial pressures and housing demand.
The review will examine the existing service through scheme reviews, stakeholder engagement, benchmarking, options appraisal and the development of an implementation roadmap.
The contract has been awarded to Housing LIN Enterprises Ltd with a value of £31,000 excluding VAT (£37,200 including VAT).
The agreement is expected to run from 4 August 2026 to 8 November 2026.
The contract was awarded following a below threshold limited competition. A total of three tenders were received and assessed, with all three submitted by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Three tenders were also submitted by voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).
The award decision was made on 13 July 2026, with the earliest contract signature date of 4 August 2026.
