Cheshire East Council Awards £73.4 Million Care at Home Framework to 30 Providers

Cheshire East Council has awarded a new Care at Home Framework valued at £73.397 million to 30 providers to deliver domiciliary care services across the borough.

The framework supports the council’s statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, providing essential care and support to adults with eligible needs in their own homes. The service is designed to help residents remain independent, maintain their quality of life, preserve dignity and continue living safely within their communities.

The new framework has been established as a closed framework, with existing providers on the council’s current Care at Home Framework joining through a direct award in accordance with PA23 Section 41, Schedule 5 Paragraph 7.

The framework has an estimated value of £73.397 million (excluding VAT) and is expected to run from 1 December 2026 until 30 November 2028, with the option to extend for up to 12 months at the council’s sole discretion.

The award decision was made on 23 July 2026, with the earliest contract signature date scheduled for 1 September 2026 following the standstill period.
