South Cambridgeshire District Council has awarded a contract to Living Sport Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Sports Partnership Limited to deliver a programme of community-based strength and balance classes across the district.
The contract has a value of £117,500 excluding VAT (£141,000 including VAT) and is expected to commence on 7 August 2026, running until 6 August 2029. The Council has the option to extend the agreement by up to two additional years, potentially taking the contract through to 6 August 2031.
The externally funded Tier 1 programme aims to reduce the incidence and impact of falls and related injuries by providing community-based strength and balance classes.

One tender was received and assessed, with the successful bid submitted by a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME).
The award decision was made on 23 July 2026, with the earliest contract signature date scheduled for 5 August 2026.
