Slough Borough Council has awarded places on a new open framework for the provision of Home to School, Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Vulnerable Adult Passenger Transport Services.
The framework has an estimated value of £2.6 million excluding VAT (£3.12 million including VAT) and will run from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2029, with the option to extend by two further 12-month periods, potentially taking the agreement through to 31 August 2031.
Established following an open procedure under the Procurement Act 2023, the framework will remain open throughout its duration, allowing additional suppliers to apply to join at defined intervals, subject to meeting the published selection and award criteria.
A total of 24 tenders were received and assessed, with 17 suppliers appointed to the framework:
The procurement attracted 24 tenders, all of which were submitted by SMEs. No tenders were submitted by VCSE organisations.
The framework was awarded on 9 July 2026, with assessment summaries issued to tenderers the same day. Following the standstill period, the earliest date the framework may be signed is 29 July 2026.
