NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership – Procurement Services, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, has awarded a short-term contract extension to Arjo for the continued provision of its Bed Management Service.
The extension, valued at £587,980 excluding VAT (£705,576 including VAT), will run from 30 July 2026 to 30 September 2026 and continues the existing agreement on the same terms and conditions.
The contract has been awarded by direct award, using the justification of additional or repeat goods, services or works – extension or partial replacement. The extension is intended to provide continuity of service while Swansea Bay Health Board prepares a new procurement for its bed managed service contract.
The contracting authority stated that the extension will maintain the existing arrangements under the current agreement during the two-month period, with the earliest date the contract may be signed being 29 July 2026.
