Leicestershire County Council has selected 99 providers across two contracts under its new Homecare for Leicestershire 2026 open framework, with a combined published value of £497 million.
The framework will provide home care services for Leicestershire residents assessed as requiring support, covering both home care maintenance and live-in/24-hour care.
A total of 95 providers have been awarded the £496 million contract covering Home Care (maintenance), while four providers have been awarded the £1 million Home Care (Live in Care/24 Hour Care) contract.
The four providers appointed specifically for live-in and 24-hour care are Agincare Live-In Care (Central) Ltd, Ruby Care Services Ltd, Specialist Homecare Group Ltd and Stockwellcare Support Services Ltd.
The council received 544 tenders for the Home Care (maintenance) lot, with 136 assessed at the final stage and 95 suppliers awarded contracts. For the Live in Care/24 Hour Care lot, 20 tenders were received and all four suppliers assessed at the final stage were awarded contracts.
The award decision was made on 4 September 2026. The contracts are expected to begin on 12 October 2026, with the maintenance contract running until 11 September 2034 and the live-in/24-hour care contract until 11 October 2034.
