ITT_30630 - Carers Hub Service
Carers Network Westminster
Wales
Cardiff Council has awarded Cardiff Young Mens Christian Association a £4.675 million contract for low level hostel provision.
The service provides supported accommodation and housing-related support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping residents maintain safe accommodation and move towards greater independence. Support includes practical help with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, access to education, training and employment, and links to wider support services.
The contract is expected to run from 8 September 2026 to 7 September 2030, with an option for a 12-month extension to 7 September 2031.
The contract was awarded directly under the light touch regime. The published justification states that, due to an absence of competition for technical reasons, only a particular supplier can provide the required services.
