Home Office Awards Contract for Asylum-Seeking Children Support Service

The Home Office has awarded a contract to NINI SOCIAL CARE SERVICES CIC for the provision of Responsible Adult and Appropriate Adult services for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

The contract covers the provision of Responsible Adults and Appropriate Adults to accompany unaccompanied asylum-seeking children during key interactions with the Home Office, helping to ensure that young people feel safe, understood and able to participate meaningfully.

The service will operate alongside, and in collaboration with, the Home Office and other relevant services and suppliers to support arrangements for managing and supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

The contract has been awarded with a value of £392,953.78 excluding VAT (£471,544.54 including VAT).

The agreement is expected to run from 29 July 2026 until 29 July 2028, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, potentially taking the contract through to 28 July 2029.

Competitive Procurement

The contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process conducted through the Home Office Jaggaer eSourcing portal using an open procedure under the Light Touch Regime.

Five tenders were received and assessed at the final stage. All five submissions were from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with one submission from a voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE).
