University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract to The Terence Higgins Trust for peer support in relation to opt-out blood borne virus (BBV) testing in the Emergency Department.
The service will support people through a peer group network following a new HIV-positive diagnosis.
The contract is valued at £86,300 excluding VAT (£103,560 including VAT) and is expected to run from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. The award notice also states there is a 12-month extension option.
The contract was awarded through a below-threshold procedure without competition and is expected to be signed from 25 September 2026.
