Thurrock Council has awarded Peabody Trust a contract to provide a floating support service for residents with poor mental health and/or a learning disability.
The service will provide short-term support of up to two years for Thurrock residents with fluctuating needs, helping them to live independently. Support will be community based, with a focus on prevention, helping people remain in their homes and preventing homelessness wherever possible.
The contract is valued at £1,105,679.60 excluding VAT and £1,326,815.52 including VAT.
The award decision was made on 23 September 2026 following an open procedure, with 30 tenders received.
The contract is expected to begin on 1 January 2027 and run until 31 March 2032, with an option to extend for a further year to 31 March 2033.
