Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Awards £470k Relationship and Sex Education Contract

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has awarded a contract for the provision of Relationship and Sex Education (Sexual Health Education and Training) to Cwmni Addysg Rhyw.

The contract is valued at £470,808 excluding VAT (£564,969.60 including VAT) and is expected to run from 6 October 2026 to 5 October 2029, with three optional 12-month extensions potentially taking the agreement through to 5 October 2032.

The procurement was conducted by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership – Procurement Services on behalf of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board through the eTenderWales portal. The successful tender was selected using an evaluation model weighted 40% on cost and 60% on quality.

One tender was received and assessed, with Cwmni Addysg Rhyw appointed as the successful supplier. The contract covers Flintshire and Wrexham, Conwy and Denbighshire, Gwynedd, and the Isle of Anglesey.

The award decision was made on 24 September 2026, with the contract expected to be signed from 6 October 2026.
