County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust intends to award Durham City Therapy Ltd a £16,800 contract to provide additional psychological support through its Rapid Response Clinic.
The service will provide external psychotherapist capacity to support patients identified as experiencing psychological harm as part of the Breast Surgery Service review process. Support may include signposting, referral to other services or psychological intervention.
The initial contract is expected to run from 1 October to 31 December 2026, with three optional four-month extensions potentially taking it through to 31 December 2027.
The below-threshold contract is being awarded to the existing provider without competition under Provider Selection Regime Direct Award Process C.
