Thames Reach secures £268,547 City of London street outreach contract

Thames Reach Charity has been awarded a £268,547 contract by the City of London Corporation to continue delivering its Street Outreach Service supporting people sleeping rough across the Square Mile.

The contract, valued at £322,256.40 including VAT, will run from 3 November 2026 to 31 March 2027, covering a period of four months and 28 days.

The direct award is intended to maintain continuity of the existing service while the City of London Corporation continues its procurement of a new Street Homelessness Outreach and Support Service.

The interim contract will operate under the existing service specification and key performance indicators. The authority said changing providers during the winter period could cause significant disruption to outreach services.

The previous procurement was abandoned following changes to government strategy and funding for tackling rough sleeping. A procurement termination notice was published on 2 October 2026.

The contract is due to be signed on 3 November 2026.
