St Mungo’s Wins £1.37m Bristol Rough Sleeping Prevention Contract

Bristol City Council has awarded St Mungo’s a contract to deliver its Rough Sleeping Prevention Service for 2026-2029.

The service will focus on preventing or minimising rough sleeping among people who are new to, or at imminent risk of, sleeping on the streets in Bristol. It will provide support to secure sustainable accommodation away from the streets or reconnection to another suitable place, as well as short-stay ‘off the streets’ accommodation while move-on options are secured.

The contract is valued at £1,366,197 including VAT and is estimated to run from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2029.

Four tenders were received and assessed at the final stage, with St Mungo’s selected as the successful supplier.

The award decision was made on 8 September 2026, with the earliest contract signing date set for 22 September 2026.
