Bury Council Awards £81k Older People and Dementia Networks Contract

The Metropolitan Borough of Bury has awarded an £81,000 contract to Bury Voluntary Community & Faith Alliance for the Bury Older People’s Network and Bury Dementia Co-Production Network.

The provider will lead engagement and develop a high-level vision statement and detailed action plan for each group, reflecting the needs and aspirations of Bury’s ageing population.

The work will take a collaborative approach involving network members, the provider, Council Senior Leads and partner agencies, working jointly on the Bury Ageing Well agenda, including Bury’s Health and Adult Care Ageing Well Strategy 2025–2030.

The contract is expected to run from 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2028, with a potential extension until 31 August 2029 dependent on review.

Bury Voluntary Community & Faith Alliance was selected following a Below Threshold Open Competition under the Light Touch regime. Two tenders were received and both were assessed at the final stage.

The Metropolitan Borough of Bury made the award decision on 30 July 2026, with 17 August 2026 listed as the earliest date the contract will be signed.

The contract has a stated value of £81,000 excluding VAT and £97,200 including VAT and is classified under Health and Social Work Services (CPV 85000000).
