Telford & Wrekin Council has appointed 61 providers through the second release of its Specialist Care Framework for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injury needs.
The multi-provider framework covers four lots: Living Well, Regulated Community Support, Specialist Complex Community Support and Residential Services, with providers appointed across one or more areas depending on their award.
Living Well forms the basis of all four lots and focuses on supporting people to be part of the communities in which they live. Regulated Community Support covers people with moderate-level needs, while Specialist Complex Community Support is aimed at people with high-level support needs, including those who may require overnight support or have complex behaviours, health needs or dual diagnosis. The fourth lot covers specialist Residential Services.
The council is seeking to work with established and experienced providers delivering a curious, compassionate and solution-focused approach centred on person-centred services. Where appropriate, providers are also expected to support young adults during transition in line with Preparing for Adulthood principles.
A total of 60 suppliers were awarded places under the Living Well lot, 38 under Regulated Community Support, 33 under Specialist Complex Community Support and 23 under Residential Services.
Across the four lots, 112 tenders were received for Living Well, 81 for Regulated Community Support, 87 for Specialist Complex Community Support and 41 for Residential Services.
The framework is expected to run from 1 September 2026 until 31 March 2028 and covers Health and Social Work Services (CPV 85000000) in the Telford and Wrekin area.
The awards were made following an Open Procedure under the Light Touch regime, with 1 September 2026 listed as the earliest date the contracts will be signed.
