Bluestar Pre-Trial Support Awarded £250k Children and Young People Pathfinder Contract

NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board is set to award Bluestar Pre-Trial Support CiC Ltd a contract to support the development of child sexual abuse (CSA) systems and pathways across the South West.

The work aims to improve the coordination, accessibility and consistency of responses for children and young people affected by CSA across health, justice, safeguarding and voluntary sector services. It will include needs assessments, service mapping, workforce development, governance and pathway improvement, building on work already undertaken in Swindon & Wiltshire and Dorset.

The contract is worth £250,000 excluding VAT (£300,000 including VAT) and is expected to run from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.

The contract is being made through a direct award, with the contracting authority stating that the justification is single supplier – technical reasons. The earliest date the contract will be signed is 28 September 2026.
