Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has awarded Codi Group Ltd a £55,825 contract, excluding VAT, to provide a Housing Related Floating Support Service for young people transitioning from supported accommodation into independent living.
The service will provide flexible, person-centred support to help young people develop independent living skills, sustain tenancies and reduce reliance on statutory services. It will operate as a step-down service aligned with existing supported accommodation, care and support arrangements.
The contract is listed with an estimated period from 30 October 2026 to 31 March 2027, with an option to extend for a further 12 months to 31 March 2028. The notice states that the service commenced on 1 June 2026 and was published for administrative purposes. It also explains that a future date had to be entered in the contract-signing field because the system would not accept a past date.
The contract, valued at £66,990 including VAT, was awarded without competition under the below-threshold procedure. The council cited continuity of care, safeguarding risks and operational incompatibility as reasons why a competitive process was not appropriate.
