Wales Hate Support Centre

The Welsh Government is seeking a provider to deliver the Wales Hate Support Centre, a service offering free and accessible support and advocacy to victims of hate crime across Wales. The contract will replace the existing service from 1 April 2027 and will also include training and engagement activities to raise awareness of hate crime and support prevention. The estimated total contract value is £3.66 million excluding VAT, including the potential extension.

Service Requirements

The successful provider will be responsible for delivering a Wales-wide hate crime support and advocacy service, ensuring victims can access appropriate support. The service will also deliver training and engagement activities focused on increasing awareness of hate crime and preventing incidents.

The contract will support the Welsh Government’s commitment to improving hate crime reporting and victim support. Delivery will take place during a period of legislative change, including the introduction of the Crime and Policing Act 2026, which is expected to strengthen and expand hate crime protections.

The contract is open to organisations with the relevant expertise and capacity, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).
