Notice of Intention to Award under the Provider Selection Regime - Competitive Process: Living Well Public Health Nursing Service
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust
London
The London Borough of Bromley proposes to award Mission Care Management a £4.58m contract, including £5.50m with VAT, to provide 21 additional residential and nursing care beds.
The proposed block contract will convert existing spot arrangements into block provision, supporting the Winter Discharge to Assess pathway and placements for adults requiring short-term and long-term care. Services will include Discharge to Assess (D2A), respite care and longer-term nursing and residential placements.
The contract is intended to support service continuity, improve operational efficiency and meet current and anticipated demand, while enabling the council to fulfil its statutory duties under the Care Act 2014.
The direct award has an estimated start date of 26 October 2026 and an initial end date of 25 October 2027. The council may exercise two one-year extensions, potentially extending the arrangement until 25 October 2029. Extensions are at the council’s sole discretion and depend on supplier performance, maintaining a Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating of Good and continued demand for the service.
The notice lists 20 October 2026 as the earliest date for signing the contract. The arrangement is proposed, and the notice does not confirm that the agreement has been signed.
