The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has awarded Welfare Call (LAC) Ltd a £139,532 contract to provide a digital solution for monitoring the attendance and education of children in care.
The system will provide real-time attendance monitoring and same-day absence verification, alongside a secure portal for creating and managing Personal Education Plans for children in the council’s care.
It will also provide analytics, dashboards and longer-term tracking of attendance, engagement, attainment and progress to support the Virtual School’s statutory responsibilities.
The contract is expected to run from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029, with an option to extend for a further year to September 2030.
