Gambling Needs Assessment

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to undertake a comprehensive Gambling Harms Needs Assessment and support the development of a local Gambling Harms Strategy.

The provider will assess gambling behaviours and harms across Sandwell, covering all age groups and both online and in-person gambling. The work will identify priority populations, inequalities, affected families and communities, existing services, pathways and gaps in provision.

The assessment will include qualitative research and consideration of the relationship between ethnicity, racism and gambling-related harms, including potential barriers to accessing support.

The successful organisation will also develop an evidence-based Gambling Harms Strategy aligned with national guidance and local priorities, supported by a delivery plan containing prioritised and actionable recommendations.
