Proc-26-201 Wraparound Care Business Opportunity with License to Occupy

Wrexham County Borough Council, on behalf of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, is inviting tenders from providers to establish and operate a wraparound childcare service on the school site under a licence to occupy.

The opportunity is for an independently operated provision that works in close partnership with the school and its governing body. The service must support families with flexible and affordable childcare while promoting children’s wellbeing, play, learning and development.

The estimated contract value is £35,500 excluding VAT (£42,600 including VAT), with a proposed three-year contract period.

Service Requirements

The successful provider will be responsible for establishing and operating a high-quality wraparound childcare provision at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School.

The service is expected to:

• Provide flexible and affordable wraparound childcare to support families.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, play, learning and development.
• Offer activities that encourage creativity, social development and play.
• Respect the Catholic ethos, values and wider community of the school.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, transparency and governance.
• Operate independently while working in close partnership with the school and its governing body.
