East Sussex County Council is seeking providers to join its Approved List for the provision of Residential and Nursing Care Home Services across the county.
The Council is updating its specification and contract terms and is looking to contract with providers that can meet the required quality standards and service delivery requirements outlined within the application documentation. The Approved Provider List will remain continuously open, allowing new providers to apply and join at any stage during the contract term.
According to the Council, the service will support individuals assessed and funded by the Adult Social Care and Health Department in residential and nursing care home settings. The overall objective is to ensure people live in safe, supportive, and person-centred environments where their care needs are met while promoting independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
The Council confirmed that this arrangement will act as its primary route for contracting residential and nursing care services throughout the lifespan of the Approved List.
Providers appointed to the Approved List will be expected to deliver care and support services that:
The specification applies to both long-term placements and short-term or respite arrangements.
The Council confirmed that placements will be spot purchased, with rates negotiated at the point of placement using East Sussex County Council’s published rates.
