Health & Wellbeing Training Opportunities – Local Government Reorganisation

Cambridge City Council is seeking an experienced training provider to design and deliver a programme focused on employee health, wellbeing and personal resilience during Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).

The programme will support employees through a period of significant organisational change, providing practical tools and strategies to maintain physical and mental wellbeing, strengthen resilience and sustain personal effectiveness during uncertainty.

The contract is valued at £120,000 including VAT and is expected to commence in September 2026. South Cambridgeshire District Council may also join the contract as a partner.

The successful provider will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of learning, resources and support designed to help employees navigate the impact of Local Government Reorganisation.

  • Develop personal resilience during organisational change
  • Manage the emotional and practical effects of change
  • Build confidence when dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Develop practical strategies to maintain personal effectiveness
  • Adopt positive approaches to wellbeing throughout the transition

The programme is intended to contribute towards a supportive and high-performing workplace culture, enabling employees to adapt to organisational change while continuing to deliver services for residents.

All learning and support must align with Cambridge City Council’s values of being collaborative, courageous, compassionate and accountable.

The Council has also updated its Request for Quotation documentation to reflect the possibility of South Cambridgeshire District Council joining the contract as a partner.
