London Borough of Wandsworth Awards Advocacy Services Contract to Rethink Mental Illness

The London Borough of Wandsworth has awarded a contract for the provision of statutory and non-statutory advocacy services for adults.

The contract has been awarded to Rethink Mental Illness Ltd through a direct award procedure under the light touch regime. The contract is valued at £802,075 (excluding VAT) and is expected to run from 25 June 2026 to 31 May 2028.

The service will provide a range of advocacy support, including:

• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
• Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
• Care Act Advocacy
• NHS Complaints Advocacy
• Relevant Person’s Representative (RPR)
• General advocacy support to help individuals access services, understand their rights and participate in decision-making.
