The London Borough of Wandsworth has awarded a contract for the provision of statutory and non-statutory advocacy services for adults.
The contract has been awarded to Rethink Mental Illness Ltd through a direct award procedure under the light touch regime. The contract is valued at £802,075 (excluding VAT) and is expected to run from 25 June 2026 to 31 May 2028.

According to the award notice, the direct award was made to ensure the continued delivery of statutory advocacy services while a longer-term procurement is undertaken. The authority states that continuity of these services is necessary to meet its legal duties and minimise risks to vulnerable service users.
The contract has been awarded to Rethink Mental Illness Ltd, a voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE), with the earliest contract signature date listed as 25 June 2026.
