The Royal Borough of Greenwich has announced its intention to award a contract to Greenwich Leisure Limited for the provision of Tier 2 Weight Management Services.
The contract has a value of £75,000 excluding VAT (£90,000 including VAT) and provides weight management services for residents of Greenwich.
According to the award notice, the contract is for a six-month period commencing on 1 April 2026 and ending on 30 September 2026. The notice also states estimated contract dates of 30 June 2026 to 30 September 2026.
The award is being made under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 using Direct Award Process C. The Procurement Act does not apply to this award.
The Council states that the existing provider is satisfying the original contract and is likely to continue delivering the proposed contract to a sufficient standard. The provider was selected based on the combined scores against the authority’s weighted evaluation criteria.
The award was approved by the Chief Officer in line with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders, and the notice states that no actual or potential conflicts of interest were declared by officers involved in the decision.
This notice serves as an intention to award under the Provider Selection Regime. Representations from providers must be submitted by midnight on 9 July 2026.
