Greater Manchester Awards Parent and Carer Support Services Contract

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has awarded a contract for the delivery of parent and carer support services on behalf of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit.

The service is designed to strengthen the resilience of parents, carers and guardians by providing the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to address concerns effectively and support positive outcomes for families.

Following an open procurement process conducted under the Light Touch Regime, the contract has been awarded to Oasis Community Partnerships.

The contract is valued at £1.71 million including VAT and is scheduled to commence on 1 July 2026. The initial term will run until 31 March 2027, with the option to extend for up to two further 12-month periods, potentially taking the contract through to 31 March 2029.

The commission forms part of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit’s work to support families and communities across the region through early intervention and preventative services.

The procurement attracted strong interest from the voluntary and community sector, with 12 tenders received and assessed. All bids were submitted by voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), with Oasis Community Partnerships selected as the successful provider.
