Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a single provider to deliver care, support, wellbeing and emergency response services across two Extra Care Housing schemes in Barnsley.
The contract will cover Fitzwilliam Court in Hoyland and Westmeads in Royston, supporting residents aged 55 and over to maintain their independence, health and wellbeing while remaining in their own homes for as long as possible.
The appointed provider will be responsible for delivering person-centred and outcomes-focused support across both schemes.
Provision will include planned care and support alongside wider services designed to promote residents’ wellbeing and maintain safe, independent living.

The provider will be expected to work collaboratively with residents, families, carers and partner organisations to ensure support is coordinated around individual needs and outcomes.
The opportunity is being procured as a single contract covering both Extra Care Housing schemes.

Delivery Length: 3 years, with the option for two further 12-month extensions

The contract is expected to commence on 1 April 2027 and run initially until 31 March 2030. If both extension options are exercised, the agreement could continue until 31 March 2032, providing a maximum contract term of five years.
The deadline for supplier enquiries is 25 September 2026 at 12:00pm, with an estimated award decision date of 23 November 2026.
