The best carers do far more than provide support, they build trust, preserve dignity and make people feel valued. While knowledge and training are essential, it’s often compassion, patience, empathy and the ability to truly listen that leave the greatest impact.

Exceptional carers can transform someone’s day with the smallest gestures, offering comfort, reassurance and kindness when it’s needed most. Their work changes lives in ways that often go unseen.

What qualities do you think make someone an exceptional carer, and have you ever met someone who embodied them?

Share your thoughts with newsdesk@dailyround.news. We’d love to hear about the people and qualities that represent the very best of care.
