Urban Biodiversity CIC Awarded Health and Social Care Youth Employment Contract

Cornwall Council has awarded a contract to Urban Biodiversity CIC to deliver Health and Social Care support as part of the Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) Randomised Control Trial.

The contract relates to Lot 4 of the project, which covers the provision of one-to-one support, small group work and a Pre-Employment Vocational Training (PEVT) course of at least 12 weeks focused on the Health and Social Care job sector for individuals aged 16 to 24 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).

According to the award notice, Lot 4 was originally advertised under reference DN812388 but received no bids. Cornwall Council has now awarded the contract through a below-threshold procurement without competition under the Light Touch Regime.

The contract has a value of £150,000 (excluding and including VAT) and is expected to run from 1 September 2026 until 31 December 2027. The earliest contract signature date is 31 July 2026.

The wider Youth Engagement Project will support participants in the control group of the Youth Futures Foundation Randomised Control Trial through a 15-month project offering pre-employment vocational training.
