TyneHealth Limited Awarded Complex Needs Support Contract

North Tyneside Borough Council has awarded a contract to TyneHealth Limited to deliver a service supporting individuals with complex needs across the borough.

The contract has been awarded through a Direct Award under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) – Direct Award Process A.

According to the award notice, the service is intended to address inequalities and sustain targeted interventions for high-risk cohorts. The model brings together clinical expertise with social care-led coordination to provide a whole-system, integrated approach that addresses both immediate healthcare needs and the wider determinants of health.

The service places a strong emphasis on outreach, relationship-building and person-centred support to help individuals re-engage with mainstream services. It is designed to address gaps in provision, improve system integration and support better health outcomes for some of the borough’s most vulnerable residents.

The target cohort includes individuals experiencing overlapping and inter-related challenges, including drug and alcohol dependence, mental ill health and co-occurring conditions, homelessness or insecure housing, social exclusion and financial hardship, safeguarding concerns including self-neglect, and poor engagement with primary care and preventative services.

The contract has a value of £73,000 excluding VAT (£87,600 including VAT) and is expected to run from 1 August 2026until 31 March 2027. The award decision was made on 30 July 2026, with the earliest contract signature date of 31 July 2026.
