People who use adult social services in Swansea are being invited to share their experiences ahead of an improvement check planned for November.
Care Inspectorate Wales will examine how Swansea Council is performing its adult social services duties and whether its work meets the requirements of relevant legislation. The check will be carried out on behalf of Welsh Ministers.
The inspectorate is seeking feedback from people with a direct or wider interest in the services, including adults receiving care and support, social services employees and professionals or organisations working alongside the council.
Separate surveys have been published for people who use adult social services, staff working within the sector and wider stakeholders. An easy-read version is also available to make the consultation more accessible.
Responses could help inspectors understand how services operate in practice, including what is working well and where people believe improvements may be required. Feedback from those receiving support can provide particularly important evidence about whether services are accessible, responsive and meeting individual needs.
People should select the survey most relevant to their experience:
The deadline for submitting feedback is 23 October.
Following the improvement check, Care Inspectorate Wales will prepare a findings letter setting out its conclusions. This will be published on the inspectorate’s website once it has been finalised.
