City & County of Swansea has awarded a contract for the provision of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Holiday Childcare Support as part of a summer holiday pilot scheme.
The pilot will provide additional support during the summer school holidays for children of full-time school age with emerging or identified Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The service is intended to assess and allocate support that enables children to attend childcare, allowing parents and carers to work, attend education or participate in training.

The contract has a value of £150,000 excluding VAT (£180,000 including VAT).
The contract is expected to run from 15 July 2026 to 31 August 2026, with the option to extend until 31 August 2027, subject to grant funding and the success of the pilot scheme.
The award decision was made on 30 June 2026, with the earliest anticipated contract signature date of 15 July 2026.
The procurement was carried out as a below-threshold open competition under the Light Touch Regime. One tender was received and assessed, with the successful bidder identified as a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME).
The contract will deliver the pilot service across Swansea.
