Lancashire County Council has awarded a contract to SELNET LTD for the delivery of the Resilience and Essential Needs Support Scheme (RENSS).
The award notice states that the Resilience and Essential Needs Support Scheme is a non-statutory support servicecommissioned by Lancashire County Council to help residents experiencing financial crisis who are unable to meet their immediate essential living needs.
The notice also states that the initiative provides end-to-end support from first contact through to the award of essential goods and the co-development of personalised plans aimed at building long-term resilience, independence and improved wellbeing.
The contract has a value of £3,575,000 excluding VAT (£4,290,000 including VAT) and was awarded following a competitive flexible procedure under the Light Touch regime.
The contract is expected to commence on 1 December 2026 and run until 31 March 2029, with the option to extend until 31 March 2031.
Two tenders were received and assessed during the final stage of the procurement. Both tenders were submitted by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).
