TESS 6 Floating Support Service: Substance misuse and Criminal justice issues & Newlands

Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a provider to deliver a 22-unit floating support service for people experiencing substance misuse and/or criminal justice issues.

The service will provide flexible, housing-related support for people at risk of homelessness, helping individuals access information, advice and resources and develop the skills required to live independently and sustain accommodation.

Support will be based on individual needs, with tailored plans addressing practical and emotional issues. Provision must be needs-led, outcome-focused and time-scaled, with support expected to reduce as individuals achieve greater independence.

• Community Well-Being Benefits – 10%

The procurement is being conducted under the light touch regime through an open procedure and is identified as particularly suitable for SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprises.

The opportunity provides housing and support organisations with a potential five-year contract supporting people affected by substance misuse, criminal justice issues and the risk of homelessness.
