Temporary Accommodation and Support Services Single Women and Families

Sheffield City Council is seeking providers to deliver supported housing and accommodation services for single women and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Sheffield.

The procurement has an estimated total value of £2,771,505 excluding VAT and is divided into two lots covering a dedicated supported housing service for single women and supported accommodation for families.

Both services will provide housing-related support focused on stability, independence and helping people successfully move into settled accommodation.

Lots Available

Lot 1 – Supported Housing Service for Single Women

This lot will provide a dedicated women’s supported housing service for women who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping.

The service will offer safe, self-contained and single-sex accommodation alongside trauma-informed support.

Provision will focus on housing-related support, developing independence and helping women work towards a planned move-on from supported accommodation.

Estimated Lot Value: £1,111,542 excluding VAT

Delivery Length: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2034 – 8 years

Lot 2 – Supported Housing Service for Families

This lot will provide supported housing for families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and require accommodation alongside housing-related support.

The service will help families obtain and sustain accommodation while supporting progression towards settled housing.

Providers will be expected to offer a flexible combination of dispersed and scheme-based accommodation, supported by a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach designed to promote stability, independence and successful move-on.

Estimated Lot Value: £1,659,963 excluding VAT

Delivery Length: 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2033 – 7 years

  • Price – Pass/Fail (0% weighting)
