Community Services in Eastleigh Borough
Eastleigh Borough Council
Location: East Midlands
Derby City Council is seeking a provider to deliver a Life Skills Transitions and Development Supported Living Scheme for young adults aged 18–25 with learning disabilities, neurodiversity and/or autism (LDNA). The scheme aims to address gaps in specialist local provision by helping individuals develop independent living skills and gradually reduce their support needs.
The service will operate from a Council-owned site in Sinfin, Derby, comprising three buildings, garages and outdoor space. Around 13 people are expected to progress through the scheme over an 18-month period, according to their individual needs.
The provider will be expected to deliver a supported living scheme focused on:
The Council also reserves the right to extend the contract terms and increase the budget by up to an additional 50%, subject to the provisions set out in the procurement documents.
The opportunity is listed as suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Interested providers should review the procurement documents for the detailed participation conditions, service specifications and requirements for each stage of the three-stage process.
This is a substantial, long-term supported living opportunity for providers experienced in supporting young adults with learning disabilities, autism and neurodiversity. Organisations with the capability to deliver personalised transition support and develop independent living skills may find it relevant, subject to meeting the Council’s full participation and service requirements.
