Provision of care and support service at Pont Aur Extra Care Light Scheme, Ystradgynlais

Powys County Council is seeking an experienced provider to deliver care and support at the Pont Aur Extra Care Light scheme in Ystradgynlais.

The scheme is being modernised to provide 43 properties, comprising 41 apartments and two attached bungalows, including 12 new purpose-built extra care apartments.

Care and support is expected to be available onsite from 7am to 11pm, 365 days a year, supported by a 112-hour weekly core contract. Additional planned care packages will be commissioned separately according to individual assessed needs.

CIW Requirements

The successful provider must be registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and comply with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and the service specification.

The opportunity provides a long-term route for an extra care provider to support residents to remain independent in their own homes while receiving assessed care and support.
